Books

Found this on LJ.

1. Total number of books I own:

It's been ages since I last counted, but I think about 150-200ish (that I actually own), the majority of which are Star Wars. :-D

2. The last book I bought:

Oh, it's been a while...erm, it's probably Labyrinth of Evil...erm...oh frell you all, I'm going to buy Last of the Jedi #1 today anyway so i'll say that. It's been too long since I've had a Jude Watsonian-stylie-e FANBOI ROMP.

Ahem.

3. The last book I read:

It's been absolutley ages since I've finished a book, I've really not been reading at all...(Thankfully with 200 pages of Order of the Pheonix digested last night it seems I've remedied that problem). I think it's actually Boba Fett - Pursuit which was far too long ago.

4. Five books that mean a lot to me:

Traitor
- by Matt Stover. Completley changed my perception of just what a book can be.

Goblet of Fire - By JK Rowling. It made me want to read.

Starfighters of Adumar - by Aaron Allston. Quite simply the greatest, funniest, most harrowing, emotional, upsetting, uplifting book you could ever read. It's so awesome on so many levels. Far from the best book I've ever read, but it's my favourite one.

Medstar - by Steve Perry and Michael Reaves. God these two books are so brilliant it's unbeleivable. Things of beauty, the both of them.

Heart of Darkness - Conrad. THE HORROR! THE HORROR! Says it all.

5. Tag three people and have them do this on their blogs:

Eating my words...

...and my Kellogs cereals.

Remember what I said about how I'm not about to buy anything purely because it's got a Star Wars advert tie-in?

I take it all back.

These things rule!!

How Embarrasing

I have just seen the new Pringles advert and I think you'll agree it's a fucking insult to Star Wars fans like us.

What happens:

This guy eats pringles
He opens the lid
A lightsaber comes out
With pringles on it
He starts waving it around
Chewbacca eats some pringles

WHY? Whats the fucking point? Its just so stupid, and pointless, i mean dedicated fans like us think "Oh god why are they bastardising our fandom like this?" I mean do they think im gonna run out and buy Pringles now in the hope that my pack turns into a lightsaber? OMG ITS GOT YODA ON THE PACK LETS BUY LOADS!!

The only good star wars advert was with for Tunes throat sweets, where one of the Imperial officers tries to give Vader one. that was funny. this is just...nonsense.

Announcement

Best. Album. Ever.

Actually probably not because I do like Bat 1 and Bat 2 (I still haven't answered the unholiest of questions - which is better?), and Achtung Baby is also great. But in my top five definatley.

Can't get no sleeves for my records
Can't get no laces for my shoes
Can't get no fancy notes
On my blue guitar
Can't get no antidote for blues

Can't find the reasons for your actions
Or I don't much like the reasoning you use
Somehow your motives are impure
Somehow I can't find the cure
Can't get no antidote for blues

They say it's mostly vanity
That writes the plays we act
They tell me that's what everybody knows
There's no such thing as sanity
And that's the sanest fact
That's the way the story goes

Can't get no remedy on my TV
It's nothing but same old news
Well they can't find a way to be
One world in harmony
Can't get no antidote for blues

Sith Sword ++

Malachor Storm Sword

Damage: 3d6 (2d6 slashing, 1d6 dark side)

Critical: 19-20

Type: Slashing

Group: Exotic

Bonus Feats:
Exotic Weapon Proficiency (Sith Sword)
Weapon Focus (Sith Sword)
Sith Sword Defense
Sith Sword Expert Defense

Upon first wielding the blade, the user gains 1 Dark Side Point.

Forged in the volatile core of Malachor V, the Storm Sword seethes with Dark Side energy, infused upon it's creation. Although this energy was well contained in the blade, it has been known to reach out and corrupt the weilder of the blade. During Darth Nihilus' shadow war against the Jedi, many droids and non-Force sensitive assassins were given Storm Swords, allowing them to battle their foes with the power of the Dark Side. Of course, in the hands of an already potent Dark Side user, the Storm Sword was even more deadly.
